Marnie Hart’s extensive career in art education and three college degrees combined with a passion for art-making led her to commit full time to creating art in 2014, after spending nearly two decades furiously making art in her “spare” time.

Her work exploits rich color and expressive realism to explore themes of love, devotion, relationships with self, others and nature and often incorporates the use of the Victorian tussie mussie, floral symbolism used to represent more literal translations.

Marnie is committed to utilizing art to promote social change. 100% of the profits of her self-published book “i promise to…” are donated to animal rescue agencies. A cat book, “i promise, too…” is in the works.

Her love of clean food, healthy living, and nurturing the planet and all that it supports are driving factors in both her life and her art. A gypsy by nature (and Bedouin by blood), she’s lived in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York, on the scenic Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, in the hills of Western Pennsylvania, the heart of Austin, Texas and currently calls Statesville, North Carolina her home. Along with her husband and son, she shares her life with two rescued dogs and three rescued cats.
